The Dark Primagista!? Lemon Appears! is the 6th episode of the Waccha Primagi! anime. It aired in Japan on TV Tokyo on November 7, 2021.

Summary

Lemon and her partner, Carron, suddenly appear before Matsuri and Myamu. Lemon, who is extremely shy and timid, has registered as a Primagista, but has yet to perform on stage because of her nervousness. Concerned for her partner, Carron goes to Matsuri, a newcomer, for advice to help Lemon perform on the Primagi stage. As fellow Primagi, Matsuri and the others try to help, but they find her shyness to be more difficult to deal with than they had thought. Myamu's patience runs thin, and she asks Carron why she chose Lemon as her partner. Carron tells her the surprising truth.....!

Plot

Walking home later in the evening, Matsuri and Myamu discuss Miruki's concert until they note another presence nearby. They find an extremely shy girl hiding behind a street light and approach her after a small black rabbit appears, realizing she is an unfamiliar Primagi performer. Lemon holds up a device to show she watches them perform, but she begins to panic after Matsuri approaches her to thank her. They return to Matsuri's place and she turns her back to them before asking for some performance pointers. She isn't able to face them directly, earning criticisms from Myamu while Matsuri attempts to make sense of their internet lingo and the "ectoplasm" everyone else can see escaping from Lemon's mouth.

Carron tries to explain that because Lemon is so shy she struggles socially, and she helps Lemon express how comfortable she felt around them as fellow new performers. She has a debut performance the next day and she's very nervous, but it means so much to her. Matsuri is able to connect on this regard as she thinks about how wonderful her first time performing felt, and she volunteers both herself and Myamu to help out. She then goes on to invite Lemon to spend the night since it's so late, but when Lemon has another "leakage" Carron decides it is out of the question and leads her out.

At the supermarket the next morning, Myamu and Matsuri impatiently wait for Lemon and Carron to arrive. But after a few hours she has yet to show up and Myamu -stuffed with several takoyaki- angrily threatens to leave. She really doesn't think Lemon is serious enough to come- but as it turns out Lemon just isn't a morning person. The girls note how weakened she is and she admits that she didn't eat breakfast yet, so after tending to her needs they head into the shop. Lemon takes shelter behind a shelf of goods and a worker encourages her to come out when Myamu comes up with an idea, suggesting Lemon see the audience as potatoes. Matsuri notes it could work but Lemon suddenly sees the potatoes gain faces, causing her to panic. She rushes outside and refuses to go back in, causing them exasperation as Carron notes she only has two hours until the performance. Myamu goes on to ask her why she would partner with someone like Lemon when she's this much trouble and Carron casts magic on a card to show them.

The girls are startled upon realizing how different Lemon is when playing video games, when she can speak with her like-minded friends and underclassmen. She would even get together with them to cheer on Hina when she performed from the safety of her bedroom, but one day they suggested that Lemon is plenty cute, and she great insight so they think she would be a great Primagi. Hearing them fawn over her and how wonderful they think she would be caused Lemon to consider it, leading Carron to spot some of her comments left for Hina on her online page. So she met Lemon to propose partnership and Lemon accepted. Matsuri is amazed as she goes on to realize Lemon is "DarkMorningStar" and how she's seen her post on Magistagram before. She attempts to pull it up to show Myamu when she gets a text from Hina, which inspires her to reach out to her to get help. They get some takoyaki with Hina after her arrival and explain the situation to her, but Chimamu is quick to point out that Hina is very busy and doesn't have much time. The girls point out Lemon never left, showing that she is several feet away from them and using her phone to observe Hina; who startles her greatly.

Hina goes on to request taking Lemon's spot in performing if she's so nervous, and they head out to Pristm Stone so that she can get ready. She changes into her chosen outfit and the girls try to encourage Lemon to step out from the shadows in order to see Hina perform. She makes her way forward and watches as she goes on to perform "Starlight!".

However, this fails to help Lemon and once she's done, she heads off for home. Carron apologizes on her behalf, leading Matsuri to feel bad for being unable to help her. Myamu and Chimumu aren't as sympathetic though, with Myamu going on to say that she probably realized she was out of her league and she doesn't think like Matsuri, so seeing Hina in person probably didn't help encourage her the way she was hoping it would. Hina doesn't agree though, pulling up her phone to reveal the new post Lemon put up just then. She was completely spellbound over the performance and she too wishes to perform on stage, but she isn't able to do it just yet. Seeing this raises Matsuri's spirits and she decides to respond to her new message, saying that she felt the same way that she did watching Hina perform. Before she only lurked online but after meeting Lemon she's become inspired to begin her own account and she is very happy to have a new Primagi friend; words that touch Lemon considerably. She wants to keep in contact with her because they can relate so well. Myamu complains that she feels hungry and Matsuri agrees to head home after sending one last message to Lemon.

Elsewhere, a young woman has some tea while watching Hina's performance.
