A Visit from Hina, the Queen of Style! is the 3rd episode of the Waccha Primagi! anime. It aired in Japan on TV Tokyo on October 17, 2021.
Summary[]
Matsuri is invited to school by Hina Yayoi, the stylish gang leader. "Isn't that a call?" said a frightened friend. However, Matsuri is very happy to be friends with Hina. On the day of the event, Matsuri is being taken around the school by Hina, and before she realizes it, they're training together! Matsuri is amazed at Hina's amazing physical prowess, but Hina murmurs, "I won't be able to beat Jennifer if I don't work hard enough." Hearing this, Matsuri became greatly inspired by Hina's passion for Primagi and desire to win. On the flip side, after witnessing Hina's Primagi, Myamu also makes an unexpected decision.
Plot[]
The girls are surprised by Hina's sudden appearance; the tension is broken with a small dispute between her mascot and Myamu. She calls Chimumu back and goes on to compliment the girls' recent performance and how exciting it was. She also mentions how she would have liked to see Miruki perform, then goes on to invite the trio to hang out with her later. Myamu seems uncertain but Matsuri doesn't hesitate to agree.
As the girls make their way through town Matsuri mentions how intimidating she thought Hina would be. Myamu brings up Miruki's change in attitude when she joined them, and she explains that Hina attends Arawashi Academy, a school known for producing some of the best Primagi stars. Hina is even regarded as the best of her generation, and last year she won runner-up in the tournament. This earned her a sponsorship with the VIVID STAR brand. Matsuri admits that she finds it hard to be scared of her when she said she saw them perform, and she thinks they could be good friends. Hearing her earnest words, Miruki hopes that they get along well and heads off for home.
Meanwhile, Hina watches Matsuri's performance while taking a break from exercise. She's very excited to hang out with her, but she gets warned not to take her lightly considering she has Myamu as her partner. Hina isn't worried though, because she is sure she'll win when everything is said and done.
The following day, Matsuri's friends are surprised when she reveals Hina wanted to hang out with her. They worry Matsuri misunderstood though, and they bring up that she s a delinquent, and she probably challenged Matsuri because she temporarily stole her thunder. Myamu climbs up to the third-story balcony the girls are on, convinced that everything will be fine. The girls fawn over her and her "cosplay" until Myamu can't take any more of it. As Toma joins them she transforms into a cat to run away, and he quickly helps Matsuri explain this event as Myamu being a magician. While confused they seem to believe them.
Myamu runs off to a private location when the blue wolf shows up. He warns Myamu not to take Hina lightly, she is strongly competitive and possesses a lot of magic as an Earthly. She doesn't appear to be worried though.
At home, Matsuri makes conversation with Toma as he makes candy and thanks him for helping her explain Myamu. This has become an issue as of late, but he thinks little of it because the fun she has is obvious. Myamu joins them and she asks about Toma, having never met him yet. She's initially unimpressed as Matsuri explains that he is training to be a confectioner until he gives her a cat lollipop he was working on. She tells him to keep up the good work.
The following day the girls arrive to Arawashi Academy and are in awe of its greatness. Hina greets the girls from the large bird statue on top of the building, and she takes them around as various students greet Hina. She tells the girls that they can use the training room if they'd like, and as they make their way down the hall they fail to notice various observers. Including Miruki, a mysterious young woman from the nearby corridor, and a group of girls who aren't happy to see Matsuri as avid Hina supporters.
In one of the training facilities, Hina assists Matsuri by giving her some tips as she uses a machine. Chimumu criticizes her but Myamu remarks that Primagi performers are mostly done by the Treasured partner so it doesn't matter if she lacks strength. Chimumu makes a remark that angers Myamu as he realizes she doesn't value her partner just yet. They begin to bicker and Myamu chases after him in anger, threatening to use magic. But when Matsuri yells out to her to stop, she trips and lands on him, causing the magic to activate and make the floors of the building begin to spin and move, and bars to form on the walls like an obstacle course. While Matsuri worries over Myamu, Hina finds it amusing and steps in to help their partners. Matsuri insists she help too but she's so clumsy that she can hardly keep up with Hina; her spirit manages to impress her though. When the girls see they are close to the edge of the stairs, Hina quickly springs into action to save them. Chimumu cries as Matsuri checks on Myamu, and she compliments Hina. She is left further impressed after discovering she does harsh training similar to this on a daily basis, and Hina expresses how much she wants to defeat Jennifer, so she can't afford to take things easy.
The girls are observed by the mysterious young woman again when suddenly, a baseball nearly hits Matsuri when Hina manages to stop it. They look to find Miruki and Hina's supporting group, but she quickly excuses herself saying she had nothing to do with it. The leader of their group is confronted by Hina and apologizes. She explains that someone like Matsuri doesn't deserve so much attention, and they were hoping she would drop out if she felt threatened because they don't want Hina to lose the way she did before. She fears the worst as Hina frowns with disapproval, but to her surprise Hina seems to forgive her and assures the girls that she plans on winning. Matsuri is further impressed as she witnesses this and she agrees to forgive the girls. Hina goes on to invite the girls to watch the performance she will be putting on later, and when performance arrives, she gets ready and changes into her chosen coord. Her performance begins as Toma arrives just in time, crossing paths with the mysterious blue-haired boy he met during Matsuri's first performance. The girls are shocked -except for a frustrated Miruki- to see the call-and-response routine Hina manages to initiate to gain a boost in magic. Her performance earns a new ensemble.
Miruki complains as Matsuri is left surprised by how her performance went. Myamu seems thoughtful about something, and the mysterious young woman -Amane- comes by to visit Hina as she relaxes in another room. She changes and rushes back outside to greet the girls as they leave the the performance hall, and to everyone's surprise Myamu rushes up to her. She tosses Chimumu towards Matsuri and asks that they team up instead, much to Matsuri's shock.
