Reona West (レオナ・ウェスト Reona・Uesuto) is one of the main characters of PriPara, and an 8th grader who attends Paprika Private Academy. He is a pop-type idol whose preferred brand is Fortune Party. His catchphrases are "If Dorothy ○○, then I’ll ... too...", and "(Tension) relax!".
Appearance[]
Reona resembles his sister Dorothy, his short, slightly curled hair being pink with a braid on the left side of his head. He has dark pink eyes.
Personality[]
Reona is the more feminine and gentle of the pair, quite shy to the point of withering away if not for Dorothy. He often follows whatever Dorothy does as an example, such as pretending to faint if she does for real. This changes as the series continues and he starts to gain more confidence to do more on his own without Dorothy. He also becomes slightly more outgoing. He has a relaxing atmosphere about him and can easily calm others, mostly young children.

One of his teammates in DressingPafé. Sion and Reona quickly took to each other.

His twin sister and other teammate in DressingPafé. They are very close.

Sophy Hojo[]
Sophy and Reona are similar in the sense that they initially couldn't do anything on their own. They became good friends.
Etymology[]
Reona (レオナ) originates from the Latin word "Leon", meaning "Lion".
West (ウェスト) is a direction on a map. This can be considered a pun since Laala's last name means center, Mirei's last name means south, Sophy's last name means "Northern line" (north) and Sion's last name means "Eastern shrine" (east).
Trivia[]
- Reona refers to himself using the pronoun "Watashi" (わたし).
- Despite being a boy, he still uses "Watashi" when saying "me too", where other boys would usually switch to a more masculine pronoun.
- He appears to be left-handed.
- Dorothy and Reona are the first main characters in the PriPara universe to be twins.
- Reona shares his preferred brand with his sister, making them the first main characters to share a brand.
- His name (Reona) is based on the second note of the Solfège scale.
- Although Sion Todo is the center of DressingPafé, Reona has more solos in the Opening Songs.
- Unlike Dorothy, Reona isn't easily frightened.
- Reona's gender was confirmed during episode 18. Despite this, however, Reona is shown as having a "feminine" figure while performing at PriPara. This may be due to PriPara's ability to change a person's physical appearance.
- In Episode 20, it was revealed that both Reona and Dorothy inherit their personality from their mother.
- Before Episode 18, Reona's real Cyalume Change Aura did not appear.
- In the Korean dub of the series, any mention of Reona's gender is removed. His school uniform tie was also repainted.
- His favorite food is strawberry parfait.
- In the early sketches, he, along with Dorothy, were going to have white hair.
- He shares his voice actress with Pakku and Suzu from Idol Time, as well as Sara Midorikawa.
- As of episode 189, Reona, along with Dorothy and Sion, or DressingPafé become God Idols.
- However, they relinquished their title as God Idols in episode 191.
