Pepper Taiyo (太陽ペッパー Taiyō Peppā) debuts in the second half of season 3 of PriPara. A wild girl born in the Sapanna, she came to Japan where she begins attending first grade at Paprika Private Academy. She is a natural-type idol whose preferred brand is Sunny Zoo.
Appearance[]
Pepper has tanned skin and large, pale olive eyes. Her pale wheat wavy hair is cut short with curled ends, her bangs are tucked beneath her forelocks. At the lower right corner of her mouth is a beauty mark and she has a fang. Her eyebrows are thick. In PriPara her appearance is "cleaned up", and she has a gentle face.
Personality[]
Pepper is a mighty beast that takes what she desires through strategy and in the moment tactics. She is fueled by an aimless ambition and hunts for sport, and she's a natural leader capable of rousing both animals and people together. She is quick to discern the true nature of people, and gives appropriate respect based on the first assessment, and she values power, authority, and wisdom.

Non Manaka[]
Her teammate in NonSugar and guide in school. Non keeps her in line using the power of the authority that Pepper respects.
Chili Tsukikawa[]
Her teammate in NonSugar. She likes her both outside and inside of PriPara and tries showing her this, but Chili is either afraid of her outside of Pripara, and they argue inside of it.
Reona West[]
Pepper respects him as an authority, immediately falling head over heels for him. She immediately realized Reona is a man, and sensed the strength of his character.
Usacha[]
Pepper's manager in PriPara. They care for each other.
Etymology[]
Taiyo (太陽) means "the sun", which could be a reference to the brand she uses, Sunny Zoo.
Pepper (ペッパー) is a pungent hot-tasting powder prepared from dried and ground peppercorns, used as a spice or condiment to flavor food. Her name falls in line with the NonSugar name theme, as pepper is not a sweet spice.
