Myamu (みゃむ Myamu) is one of the main characters of Waccha Primagi!. She is a magician from the Magical Realm, and she is the elemental who represents the Love Element. Her preferred brand is LOVELY MELODY.
Appearance
In her animal form, Myamu appears as a pale blue cat with purple to pink eyes and yellow ear hair, as well as a cowlick. She wears a dark blue collar tied into a ribbon, and she has a heart-shaped tag along with a gold bell attached to it.
In her human form, Myamu has sharp eyes and long sky-blue hair worn in pigtails with an aqua blue ombre and pastel yellow streaks. Her bangs and forelocks flare outward, and she has fanged teeth.
Personality
Myamu is known as an energetic troublemaker, even by the school she goes to. She holds herself in high regard, calling herself "Myamu-sama", and used to find those without humans to be nothing too special. She is very outgoing and highly ambitious. When she gets eager, she tends to make rash decisions.
Relationships
Matsuri Hibino
Myamu is her magician partner. They first met after Myamu catches Matsuri humming Believe to herself in front of Prism Stone. Desperate to find a partner, Myamu scouts Matsuri for Primagi, and after debating with herself, Matsuri agrees to do Primagi with her.
In the beginning, Myamu did not hold too much faith in Matsuri, as she was willing to leave Matsuri for Hina until Jennifer encouraged Matsuri to perform. During Matsuri's performance, Myamu's magic goes out of control, and Matsuri comforts her, solidifying their bond. Gradually, as time went on, their bond grew stronger and stronger. Despite Matsuri falling behind the other Primagistas (e.g., losing to Hina in the Star Area's Fresh Festival and being the last to earn her Elemental Coord), Myamu always stood by Matsuri during those harsh times. It is their firm bond and love that allows Myamu to become the Love Elemental.
In episode 04, it was revealed their first meeting happened when they were younger. Matsuri found herself lost in a forest, and she came across Myamu in her cat form, who comforted her when she cried.
Nyanjii
The one whom she was raised by. Myamu is usually startled by his presence, as he tends to punish her for her trouble-making.
Chimumu
Although she and Chimumu often bicker due to their rivalry, they always encourage one another in their times of need.
Hughie
He sometimes appears before her when she's alone and lectures her in her times of immaturity.
Etymology
Myamu (みゃむ) - Although the meaning of her name is unknown, it may partially be a pun on "nya" (にゃ), which is the Japanese onomatopoeia for a cat's meow.
