Mascots have appeared throughout the Pretty series, and have served their various roles to the main characters of each series. Mascots usually take the form of a kind of animal.
In Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live, the mascots are referred to as Pair Friends (ペアとも,Pea Tomo). They transform into instruments for their partners, which allows for their partner to perform an appeal called Prism Live. Each of their names relates to the different fashion elements.
In Kiratto Pri☆Chan, mascots become prevalent in the third season rather than the first. The role of mascots is to help their masters achieve their goals. They are housed and raised in an item called the PriTama GO, and as their masters collect more likes from performing, the mascots grow from their petite mascot forms to their pretty mascot form and then finally their idol mascot form.
In Waccha Primagi!, mascots are referred to as Magician Partners (パートナーの魔法使い,Pātonā no Mahōtsukai), but there are some partners that non-magicians. Partners must remain in their mascot form in the human world and are only allowed to show their human form to a Primagista in order to avoid letting their status as a magic user be known.
