Lemon Kokoa (心愛れもん Kokoa Remon) is a character that appears in Waccha Primagi!. She is a second-year junior high school student who is a knowledgeable Primagi otaku. Her preferred brand is Radiant Abyss.
Appearance
Lemon has pale skin and long yellow hair normally worn up in a pair of braided cones. Her straightened bangs usually cover her eyes. Lemon usually wears a pair of headphones or hat. As of episode 09, Lemon has shorter bangs after cutting them off herself, and two loose strands hang to the sides.
In Primagi, her sharp blue eyes are revealed and she gains makeup. Her hair is worn loose with the bottom tied into thick ringlets with a cyan gradient. The cones of hair become small buns held by a braid, and she has loose curled forelocks. Her bangs gain cyan streaks.
Personality
Lemon is extremely shy and tends to get nervous quite easily. Whenever someone gets too close to her, her soul/ectoplasm starts to come out from her mouth, but only magicians can see it. Because of her shyness, the words she speaks may come off as rude to others. However, when it comes to gaming, she is much more outgoing and casual, and she is able to talk normally. Lemon also speaks using archaic terms, such as referring to herself using sessha (拙者) and using de gozaru (でござる) to end her sentences.
After performing as a Primagista for the first time, Lemon has slowly moved away from her shyness, and she rarely ever gets nervous enough to where ectoplasm comes out. She has also gained a little more confidence, as shown during the training camp for the exhibition performance where Lemon intervened in times where conflict within the group was about to spur.
Relationships
Carron
Her magician partner. In the beginning, Lemon needed Carron's help to communicate with others due to her shyness obscuring the meaning of the words she wanted to get across.
Matsuri Hibino
Lemon holds respect for Matsuri, as she refers to her as Matsuri-dono. She is often seen chatting with Matsuri more than anyone from the exhibition group.
Miruki Amauri
Completely contrasting her own personality, Lemon admires Miruki's confidence and skills as a Primagista. When the Primagistas were picking out their duo partners for the Feeling Duo Competition, most of the duos were decided, leaving only Lemon and Miruki left. Noticing that Miruki did not have a partner, Lemon thought they should team up, but Miruki felt otherwise. After imploring Miruki to perform, Lemon finally worked up the courage to ask Miruki to form a duo, to which she agrees. The two form the Primagi Duo Milky Lemon.
Etymology
Kokoa (心愛) - Koko (心) means “heart”, “mind”, or “spirit”, and a (愛) means “love”.
Lemon (れもん) is a yellow citrus fruit, and it may be a reference to her yellow hair or her hairstyle, which, at the tip, resembles a half-cut lemon.
