Hina Yayoi (弥生ひな Yayoi Hina) is one of the main characters that appear in Waccha Primagi!. She is a third-year junior high school student at Arawashi School, a powerful school for Primagi. Her preferred brand is VIVID STAR.
Appearance
Hina's Normal Appearance
Hina has slanted gold eyes and chest-length, slightly curled orange hair. Her skin is slightly tanned and she has a toned body due to her constant activity.
When performing, she gains makeup and nail polish. Her hair grows in length and gains purple streaks, pulled up into a thick side-tail with few loose strands, including a section of bangs.
Personality
She has a passionate and straightforward personality and is admired by younger students. She is extremely hardworking and is very dedicated to bettering herself, as she lost the last Primagi Grand Festival to Jennifer, whom she views as her rival.

Amane Sumeragi
They are close friends and are often seen hanging out with each other. Amane has the tendency to hide her true emotions behind a calm face, but Hina is able to see through Amane's facade. They always have each other's backs whenever they have their times of despair. When Amane was drowning in her self-doubts regarding her own originality, Hina was there to extend a hand to pull her out of the water. When Hina became disheartened from learning that Jennifer did not see her as a rival, Amane was the first to find Hina and try to console her. The two form the Primagi Duo Encantar.
Matsuri Hibino
Hina took quite an interest in Matsuri, a popular rookie, after seeing her debut performance. She often plays the role of a mentor of sorts to her, but when it's time for the two to compete, Hina views her as competition.
Jennifer Sumire Sol
Hina views Jennifer as her greatest rival. In the last Primagi Grand Festival, Hina came in second to Jennifer during the competition. Because of this, Hina holds frustration and disappointment upon herself over her loss and has worked extremely hard to improve her skills since then. Her frustrations have been shown slightly visible whenever Jennifer was around or simply just looking at a poster of her. Upon hearing about Jennifer's withdrawal from the current year's Grand Festival, Hina got worked up and did some last-minute training to blow off some steam. Hina was caught up in her feelings, believing that Jennifer possibly feels that Hina wasn't good enough for her, which resulted in her spraining her ankle before competing in the Star Area's Fresh Festival.
During the Pretty Samba Carnival, Hina was selected to be the Samba Goddess of the Sun, a title that Jennifer had held in the last carnival, and with this selection came an interview between the two. In the interview, Hina implored Jennifer to participate in the Grand Festival; however, Jennifer had rejected this due to her personal turmoil. The two later meet in a hallway, and Hina directly asked Jennifer about how she views her. After learning that Jennifer doesn't see her as a rival, Hina became greatly disheartened, and she broke down.
Etymology
Yayoi (弥生) - Ya (弥) means "all the more" or "increasingly", and yoi (生) means "life" or "birth".
Hina (ひな) - Due to being written in Hiragana, there is no specific meaning to her name. Her name can mean "young bird" (雛).
