Chili Tsukikawa (月川 ちり Tsukikawa Chiri) is a new character in season 3 of PriPara, who was put under the initial care of Laala Manaka to get her idol career started. She originally used Twinkle Ribbon and was a lovely-type idol, until later in the series when she returned as a celeb-type using the brand Dear Crown.
Appearance[]
Originally, Chili's appearance was the same in and out of PriPara. She is a young girl with big purple eyes and long, straightened pale brown hair with small tufts pulled into pigtails. Her bangs and forelocks are messily straightened and she has a cowlick. Her uniform is noticeably too big on her, with the sleeves often covering her hands.
Later when Chili gains her new idol type, she is shown aging up in PriPara and her hair is now teal. Her forelocks are longer and her bangs aren't messy, and her pigtails are now long strands held by a braid. Her eyes are blue.
Personality[]
Chili is shy and gentle, but as a young girl she's easily excited and has an interest in idols. She also has a weakness towards uncleanly things, and gets flustered very easily. After her type change, her personality in PriPara becomes one of graceful pride, arrogance, and quite the handful. Chili gets embarrassed by this side of her but she's unable to control it, but she grows used to it over time and manages to find a middle-ground between it and her true self.
Relationships[]
Janis[]
Chili owns the Rosette Pact her baby form was in, and she quickly became fond of Janis and did her best to make her happy.
Non Manaka[]
Her teammate in NonSugar.
Pepper Taiyo[]
Her other teammate in NonSugar. Chili often has disagreements with Pepper inside of PriPara.
Laala Manaka[]
Chili heavily admired Laala, to the point of taking up the same brand originally.
Usacha[]
Her manager in NonSugar.
Etymology[]
Tsukikawa (月川) - Tsuki (月) means "moon", and kawa (川) means "river" or "stream".
Chili (ちり) follows the name theme relating to her unit NonSugar. Her name, along with Pepper's, are names of spices that are non-sweet.
