Akane (あかね ) is a supporting character in Himitsu no Aipri. She's Chii Mamiya's older sister.
Appearance[]
Akane has long, dark purple hair with thick braids on the sides tied into a mid-ponytail at the end with a pink ribbon. Her gentle eyes, just like Chii's, are grey with purple highlights.
Personality[]
Akane is kind and gentle. She loves Chii and wants the best for her. When she told her that they'd be separated, she stayed strong for Chii and kept a smile so she wouldn’t be even sadder.
Relationships[]
Chii Mamiya[]
Akane's younger sister. She's the reason Chii started performing as an Aipri and aims to be the very best.
Etymology[]
- The name Akane (あかね) is written in hiragana, therefore it doesn't have a set meaning. It could mean "deep red".
Trivia[]
- Despite being referred to as Onee-chan (older sister) by both Chii and her mother, her profile doesn't include a surname and only lists her as "Akane".
- It is heavily implied that Akane passed away.
- Akane told Chii she'd be going far away and they wouldn't see each other, possibly hinting she was going to a hospital and didn’t want Chii to witness her condition.
- After some time, Chii’s mother, with sadness in her voice, told Chii that Akane had "gone to a faraway place" where they couldn't meet.
- When Chii received the only letter Akane wrote her, her mother said Akane "gave her all" in writing it, suggesting she was very weak at the time, which also explains why she hadn't responded to Chii’s previous letters.
